AMMAN – On Sunday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh instructed the Civil Service Consumer Corporation (CSCC) to ensure an abundant
stock of essential commodities in order to maintain stable prices for basic
goods until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
During a Cabinet meeting,
Khasawneh underscored that this government decision is critical to the
well-being of the Kingdom, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Additionally, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply,
Yousef Al-Shamali directed the reinforcement of regulatory measures in markets.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining a secure
strategic reserve of wheat, barley, and other key commodities.
"It
is essential to strengthen regulatory tools and fully deter any minority or
group that seeks to exploit exceptional circumstances to impact citizens’
livelihoods and needs," stated Shamali.
