PM announcement allows Friday prayer in mosques

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh issued Announcement No. 31 for the year 2021, according to which citizens are allowed to leave their homes on foot for one hour to perform Friday prayers provided they abide by the preventative measures set in place by the Ministry of Health.اضافة اعلان

Announcement no. 31 was issued on the basis of Article 8 of Defense Order No. 19 for the year 2020, authorizing the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to determine the start and end time of the one-hour travel period.

Amendments to the provisions of Announcement No. 31 are still possible, depending on the epidemiological situation. The provisions of Announcement No. 31 and any amendments to it will take effect as of Friday April 23, until further notice, according to the text of the announcement.
