Nurses to be appointed in schools to maintain a healthy environment— MoH

AMMAN— The Ministry of Education decided to appoint a number of nurses in the education departments across the Kingdom, to provide a healthy and safe environment in schools, according to the ministry’s spokesman Ahmad Al-Masafah, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

"Providing a safe and healthy environment is a basic requirement for the any educational process success, so the Ministry of Education considers it a top priority in an institutional way," Masafah said.

A safe healthy environment is also "an indicator of an effective school as per the school's procedural development plan," he added, pointing out "at the beginning of each school year, the ministry circulates the health procedures that the school must carry out in order to preserve the health of the administrative and teaching staff and the students."

Masafah talked about holding a meeting of all school health officials in all 42 education departments, noting "each public school has a teacher responsible for school health to spread awareness about means of health prevention among the school community."

“For that, we appointed nurses in the education departments to follow up and evaluate the implementation of health procedures,” he added.
