Active cases of infection in schools range from 3.6 to 4.2% — official

AMMAN — Ministry of Education spokesman Ahmad Al-Masafah said that over the last 10 days, the percentage of active infections among high school students in government schools stood at 3.68 percent, according to Ad-Dustour.اضافة اعلان

Masafah added on Monday that the percentage of infections in private schools stood at 4.28 percent, while the percentage in UNRWA schools was about 3.53 percent.

Some 190,000 students received the first dose of the vaccine, or 20 percent of the target group; about 141,000 students received the second dose, or 15 percent of the target group; and about 300 students received the third dose, said Masafah, adding that the vaccination campaigns will continue in all 42 education directorates in the Kingdom.

The government had postponed the start of the second semester for students from kindergarten to the eleventh grade until February 20, while 12th grade students started it on February 1.
