Mideast crisis 'only resolved by addressing root causes'

AMMAN — Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs EU and Cooperation of Spain Arancha Gonzales Laya said that there must be a political mobilization from the international community to resolve the conflict in the Middle East and achieve the two-state solution according to the international law. In a phone call, both ministers saw that the alarming situation in Jerusalem and other occupied territories proves that a political solution is needed and the issue must be resolved through addressing its root causes, namely by stopping Israeli violations manifested in the expansion of settlements and demolishing the homes of Palestinians, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
