Krishan postpones provincial councils, municipal elections for 6 months

AMMAN — On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan announced that the Kingdom’s provincial councils and municipal elections will be postponed for six months, based on provisions of Articles 3/f and 34/c of the Local Administration Law No. 22 of 2021, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The move comes to ensure the integrity and legal validity of the elections, as the implementation of the local administration law's provisions requires a set of regulations and decisions that must be issued prior to the start of the electoral process.
