King receives condolences from leaders over Prince Muhammed’s passing

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has received cables of condolences from heads of Arab and foreign countries and governments over the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammed bin Talal, according to a statement made by the Royal Court.اضافة اعلان

King Abdullah also received condolence cables from senior officials and officers, and representatives of civil society.

Additionally, His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday received condolences from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, over the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammed bin Talal.

In a phone call, King Abdullah expressed Jordan’s support for the Palestinian people as they seek their legitimate rights and to establish their independent state on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, stressing his support for the steadfastness of Jerusalemites.

For his part, President Abbas thanked His Majesty for his ongoing support for the Palestinians and their just cause, especially amidst the aggression against them in Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday also received condolences from Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, in a phone call, over the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammed bin Talal.

King Abdullah expressed condolences over the deaths in the stampede incident that took place at Jabal Al Jarmaq.

His Majesty stressed the need to end the escalations in Jerusalem, reaffirming that the two-state solution is the only way to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living in peace and security alongside Israel.
