DEAD SEA— His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with Iraq
Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al Sudani and the accompanying delegation, on the
sidelines of the second round of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and
Partnership, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah noted that the conference is aimed at
supporting the sovereignty, security, and stability of Iraq, while advancing
cooperation to bolster regional security, stability, and economic integration.

His Majesty expressed pride in the deep-rooted Jordan-Iraq
ties, stressing the importance of maintaining cooperation.
Discussions covered the latest regional developments, especially
the Palestinian cause, as well as the importance of maintaining coordination on
issues of mutual concern.
For his part, the Iraqi prime minister expressed condolences
to the King over the Public Security Directorate personnel who were killed in
the line of duty, stressing Iraq’s commitment to working with Jordan in
countering terrorism and extremism.
He also commended Jordan for hosting the second round of the
Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, describing it as an
affirmation of the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s security and
stability.
