AMMAN — In light of His Majesty King Abdullah’s decision to resolve
matters surrounding HRH Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein and the developments of
the past two days within the Royal Hashemite Family, King Abdullah entrusted
his uncle, HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal to undertake this, according to a Royal
Court statement.

Therefore,
Prince Hassan reached out to Prince Hamzah, who affirmed his commitment to the
Hashemite tradition and the course of action entrusted by His Majesty to Prince
Hassan.
Prince Hassan, along with TRH
Prince Hashem bin Al-Hussein, Prince Talal bin Mohammad, Prince Ghazi bin
Mohammad and Prince Rashed bin Hassan, met with Prince Hamzah later on Monday.
During
the meeting, Prince Hamzah signed a letter stating that “national interests
should remain above every other consideration. We should all stand behind His
Majesty the King in his efforts to protect Jordan and its national interests as
well as to achieve the best for the Jordanian people”.
“I
will remain faithful to His Majesty and committed to the Constitution of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. I will forever support His Majesty the King and HRH
the Crown Prince”.
