Jordan records 19 new COVID-19 deaths, 3,739 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,739 new COVID-19 cases and 19 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,310 and the total number of cases to 905,738.اضافة اعلان



The Ministry of Health said that Amman alone recorded 1,462 cases, while Zarqa recorded 312 cases. Irbid registered 767 cases, Balqa 201 cases, Karak recorded 154 cases, Jerash recorded 135 cases, and Tafileh recorded 41 cases. Madaba registered 110 cases, Aqaba 106, Ramtha 206, and Ajloun 89.

The ministry said in a statement that 97 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 138 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 35,233 according to the ministry. Out of 46,526 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 8.04 percent of them came back positive.
