AMMAN — So far, there have been no reports of blood
clotting incidents in recipients of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Jordan, Director
General of the Food and Drug Administration Nizar Mheidat said on Wednesday.
Mheidat noted that all reports received in relation to the
COVID-19 vaccines reported common and expected side effects, such as general
fatigue, joint and muscle pain, shivers, fever, headache, and nausea, the
Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The director general added that the authority studies these
reports thoroughly, and refers them to specialized technical committees,
stressing that all administered vaccines have been subjected to clinical trials
and have been proven to be safe, according to Petra.
