The official spokesman for the ministry, Haitham Abu Al-Ful, said that this act is condemned and rejected as it contradicts all religious values and principles, human rights principles, and basic freedoms, as well as it fuels feelings of hatred and violence and threatens peaceful coexistence.

The spokesperson added that there is a collective responsibility in spreading and promoting a culture of peace and acceptance of the other, raising awareness of common values, and enriching the values of harmony and tolerance, and rejecting extremism, fanaticism, and incitement to hatred based on religion or belief.
