In a meeting with the Parliamentary Financial Committee, Shamali confirmed that the total current and capital expenditures for the current fiscal year are estimated at JD59.888 million, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

He also reassured MPs that wheat stocks are sufficient for 10 months, barley for eight months, and other food supplies for over two months.

Shamali also mentioned that among the projects for the Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025), a tender was launched to implement 100,000-ton capacity containers for Ghabawi grains, and 65 percent of the project has been implemented. A tender was also launched to implement 500,000-ton capacity containers for Tarhana grains, and 30 percent of the project has been implemented.

In light of the Israeli war on Gaza, Shamali pointed out that since October 7, 2023, 45,000 tons of grains have been supplied to Palestine.
