AMMAN — The Jordan Press Association (JPA)’s general assembly approved the administrative and financial reports
during a meeting held Thursday, according to Al-Ghad News.
The meeting, attended
by JPA President Rakan Saaideh and members, discussed the administrative,
financial, and professional reports of the council, and approved the 2021 final
accounts and the 2022 budget.
Saaideh presented the
association achievements and expressed the JPA council’s readiness to take into
consideration the ideas suggested during the meeting that would upgrade
journalists’ work, serve the general assembly members, and deal with the
challenges journalists and media institutions face.
The council also gave some suggestions on increasing the
JPA members’ income and improve their quality of life.
A five-member committee was also formed to follow up on the
health insurance issue.
