He noted that while humanity has advanced in technology, science, and artificial intelligence, striving to explore outer space with massive and precise telescopes, we have often overlooked what is happening closer to home.

Haddadin emphasized that if those telescopes were ever pointed inward, even slightly, the world could see the genocide, starvation, and killings that the people of Gaza endure. This, he said, is a consequence of a global loss of humanity and moral values, which have become secondary in a world that measures progress and prosperity of individuals and societies mainly in terms of numbers, data, and economic outcomes—forgetting the marginalized and oppressed populations who are reaching the brink of extermination and starvation, often without anyone holding the perpetrators accountable.
