The launch of this digital service aligns with GAM’s strategic plans to enhance its electronic services and streamline procedures for business owners, thereby improving service efficiency, organization, and oversight.
Al-Shawarbeh emphasized that the service will help prevent the unauthorized use of sidewalks and reduce traffic congestion. He added that it will strengthen monitoring over unlicensed service providers, ensuring that valet operations are conducted within a legal and secure framework.
According to GAM, the service enables parking management companies and commercial shop owners to obtain permits digitally, provided they secure a licensed parking location. Additionally, applicants must provide clean criminal record certificates ("No Conviction" certificates) and security clearances for all employees. Operators are also required to ensure staff wear a unified uniform and hold an insurance policy covering any traffic accidents.
GAM noted that the system has been electronically integrated with the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security Directorate (PSD), affirming that inspection campaigns will be intensified, and strict legal actions will be taken against violators and unlicensed operators.
