In a post on X early Monday, Momani said security forces had made extensive efforts through a successful joint security operation that resulted in the arrest of the three terrorists responsible for the attack. All three were wounded during an armed confrontation, while no injuries were reported among security personnel.
He explained that search and combing operations had continued since the terrorist attack until the three suspects were located early Monday morning in an abandoned house in Karak Governorate.
Momani stressed that terrorism has no place in Jordan, adding that the group, which had violated religious principles, social norms, and moral values, had met its just fate at the hands of security forces.
"We remain vigilant and will respond with an iron fist, without mercy or leniency, to anyone who attempts to undermine Jordan's security or threaten the safety of its citizens," Momani said.
The minister also renewed his prayers for mercy upon the fallen heroes and wished those injured in the terrorist attack a speedy recovery.
