According to an infographic released by the JFDA, 5,004 of these inspections were conducted through its branches across the country. The inspections included routine monitoring, investigation, follow-ups, licensing, handling complaints from citizens, sample collection, and intensive seasonal campaigns.
The total inspections also included 339 tours of food production factories and food import/export companies for periodic checks and sample collection. These inspections led to a series of effective regulatory measures in accordance with established rules and regulations.
JFDA Director General, Dr. Rana Obeidat, emphasized the continuous efforts of the Authority to enhance monitoring and inspection of food establishments and expand regulatory campaigns in the upcoming period. She noted that the Authority plans to support its inspection teams by hiring additional inspectors and introducing specialized regulatory mechanisms in cooperation with partner entities.
