Ahmed Al-Fraheid, Chairman of the New Bireen Municipal Committee, stated that the municipality is implementing a comprehensive plan to improve services provided to citizens and enhance local development in the district.اضافة اعلان

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), he emphasized that the municipality has reorganized financial priorities through an integrated plan to control operational expenditures and established a specialized committee to collect revenues, aiming to positively impact the quality of services delivered to citizens.

He added that the municipality has expanded the lighting network, focusing on main and secondary roads leading to different areas, and replaced traditional lamps with LED technology to reduce electricity costs and increase nighttime safety.

Regarding digital transformation, Al-Fraheid explained that the municipality launched a new online platform that allows citizens to know the required documents for each procedure. Additionally, a dedicated complaints website was introduced to track, classify, and take appropriate action on each submitted observation.

He confirmed that routes have been reorganized, night cleaning shifts have been activated, and weekly street-cleaning campaigns are being conducted. He also highlighted the activation of community partnerships by holding direct meetings with residents to listen to their feedback and perspectives on various issues, which will reflect on the quality of services provided.

In the field of local community development, he noted that the municipality organized a job day that helped provide employment for 45 young men and women from the district. He expressed his intention to carry out more activities that enhance local development and create job opportunities.

Al-Fraheid also mentioned the implementation of projects in partnership with international donor organizations, such as the longitudinal park at the entrance of Bireen city, which has become a suitable recreational space for visitors. He confirmed that additional projects are under study for near-future implementation.

He stated that the municipality focuses on developing staff skills through training courses in various fields to enhance their competence and expertise.

Regarding tourism and investment, Al-Fraheid highlighted that Bireen district boasts beautiful geographical features, making it one of the best tourist spots. He noted that the Minister of Local Administration has directed a comprehensive study of tourism projects during his recent visit to the district.
