AMMAN — Director of Social Development Department of Tafila governorate, Aballah Al-Suqour said that Ministry of Social Development has allocated a house to the family of distinguished students Alaa and Malak, Khaberni reported.

The two achieved distinct results in the Tawjihi (General Secondary Certificate Examination), despite the difficult living conditions of their family and the lack of access to basic needs, Suqour said.

The directorate provided the family of Suliman Abu Jalaqa with cash and in-kind aid to help them improve their living conditions, at a time when the family is only receiving a monthly donation from the National Aid Fund in the amount of JD99.

The additional assistance was in response to the directives of the Minister of Social Development, Ayman al-Mufaleh.

The Ministry of Social Development selected the Jalaqas as one of 18 families to be given a house in the Seel Al-Hassa area. The family will be able to move in after administrative and financial procedures are completed, including setting up an electricity subscription.

The students said they hoped that they will find a way to complete their studies in Jordanian universities, having received results of eligibility to compete on the basis of unified admissions in undergraduate studies.

Their success was the culmination of their father’s efforts to sell vegetables from one region to another, assisted by his son, Alaa. اضافة اعلان
