AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi on Monday resumed talks and coordination with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, regarding the two nations’ efforts to bolster the ceasefire in Palestine, rebuild Gaza, and reach just peace on the basis of a two-state solution.اضافة اعلان

Safadi and his counterpart highlighted the importance of immediate international action, in coordination with the Palestine National Authority, to rebuild Gaza in an effort to ease their suffering, a Foreign Ministry statement said.

The top diplomats reiterated that fostering stability requires an end to Israeli practices, which were at the root of the most recent events in Palestine. Safadi and Shoukry stressed that Israel must respect the historical and legal status quo of Islamic and Christian holy sites, and the right of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood residents to their homes.
