The Ministry of Labor on Wednesday called on non-Jordanian workers of various nationalities who entered the Kingdom for purposes other than employment, such as tourism, medical treatment or education, and are currently working in Jordan without having obtained work permits during their stay, to benefit from the government's decision to legalize and regularize their status.اضافة اعلان

The ministry's spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Zyoud, said this category of workers, including domestic workers who have never previously obtained work permits, can benefit from the status regularization period, which runs until December 1, 2026.

Under the decision, workers can obtain work permits and pay the applicable fees, while paying a one-time amount of JD500 covering all previous years they spent in Jordan.

Al-Zyoud added that employers and household sponsors can visit the Ministry of Labor to complete the procedures for issuing work permits for their workers, in accordance with the professions covered by the decision.
