In joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shukri, in Amman, Safadi said that sustaining the ceasefire and putting an end to Israeli violations should be the priority.

He added that Jordan’s primary objective is to serve Palestinians and that his meeting with Shukri is part of continuous coordination efforts between Jordan and Egypt to cease illicit Israeli practices that hinder the peace process.

Safadi said the two countries are also coordinating on the “priority of Gaza’s “reconstruction” and reiterated the importance of a two-state solution to ending the conflict, which is at the center of unrest in the region.
