AMMAN — Amendments to the Social Security Law call for raising the retirement age of men to 62 and women to 59,
Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The amendments also include provisions to cover those
whose contributions are less than 36 months by the year 2026, according to
Social Security Corporation Director-General Hazem Al-Rahahleh.
All those whose contributions are less than three years will
not be entitled to early retirement as of January 1, 2026, he said during a
meeting with the Senate Labor Committee.
