Cabinet endorses mandating reasons for provincial districts draft

AMMAN — A Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday approved the mandating reasons for the 2021 draft law of provincial councils’ electoral districts, which was urgently referred to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau for further deliberation.اضافة اعلان

According to the decision, the Kingdom’s governorates will be divided into electoral districts, and the number of representatives per each governorate council will be determined, in preparation for holding the elections.
The Cabinet also approved “Instructions for Irbid, the Arab Capital of Culture for 2022,” which will be published soon in the Official Gazette, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Council of Ministers, moreover, approved the recommendations of the settlement and conciliation committee, related to settling pending cases among 47 taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department.
On the other hand, the Cabinet decided to appoint Manar Mahasneh as Secretary General of the Jordan Valley Authority.
