COVID cases rise after Saturday drop in numbers

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,048 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, in addition to 8 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 10,471 and the caseload to 801,288. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health stated that Amman recorded 548 cases, while Zarqa recorded 77 cases.

Irbid registered 80 cases, while Balqa recorded 90 cases.

Karak recorded 35, Jerash recorded 22 cases, and Tafileh recorded 60.

Madaba registered 23 cases, Aqaba 39, and Ajloun 28.

Mafraq registered 19 new cases.

The ministry added in a statement that some 54 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 65 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,814 according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 3.73 percent of the 28,100 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
