Jordan logs 17 COVID-19 related deaths, 1,066 new infections Tuesday

Amman— The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 17, while a total of 1,066 new cases were recorded in Jordan, taking the death toll to 10,239 and the caseload to 785,697.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the Health Ministry said in its daily brief that Amman recorded 488 cases, while Zarqa recorded 161.

Irbid registered 160 cases, while Tafileh recorded 70 cases. Balqa recorded 44 cases, Maan recorded 34 cases, and Jerash 19.

Mafraq registered 18 cases, Ajloun 15, and Karak 15.

Madaba  saw 15 cases, Petra 15, Aqaba 7, and Ramtha 5 new cases.

The ministry added in the brief that some 74 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged, while 110 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Jordan stands at around 12,040, according to the daily brief.

Around 4.01 percent of the 26,611 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
