Arab Parliament lauds ‘important’ Hashemite Custodianship in Jerusalem

AMMAN — The Arab Parliament has emphasized the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship of Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and its role in protecting these holy sites and preserving their Islamic and Christian Arab identity, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

President of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoomi indicated that the trilateral Jordanian-Egyptian-UAE meeting held in Cairo that brought together the leaders of these countries is an exceptional meeting in its importance, timing and outcomes and reflects the centrality of the Palestinian cause as the Arab first issue. It also represents a pivotal step that enhances Arab solidarity and the course of joint Arab action.

Asoomi also emphasized that the important meeting represents a qualitative value added to Arab efforts in support of the Palestinian cause and rejects the occupying power’s ongoing violations in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Asoomi voiced the parliament’s appreciation for the sincere efforts of the three states in supporting and strengthening the mechanism for consultation and coordination among the Arab states on issues of mutual concerns; in a way that serves the interests of Arab people and fulfils their aspirations for security, development and stability.

The Arab League demanded international action to counter Israel’s illegal policies and actions in occupied Jerusalem.
