The Association’s President, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Balbeesi, said in a statement on Sunday that the two workshops aim to encourage production within the home-based sector to increase individual and family income, which contributes to reducing unemployment and poverty, especially in light of population growth that exceeds economic growth.
He referred to the experience of economist Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh, and the adoption of this experience in India, which since the late 1970s has enabled more than 200 million poor people to rely on themselves in generating income through the idea of financing small projects and providing the poor with opportunities to work and produce.
Al-Balbeesi expressed his appreciation to the staff of the Agriculture Directorate of the Capital Governorate for demonstrating a high level of professionalism during the two workshops, affirming the continuation of cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in community development, in addition to other official and private entities.
He also noted that the association has included a course titled “E-Marketing,” to be conducted by a center accredited by the Jordanian Authority for the Development and Certification of Professional and Technical Skills, aimed at enabling trainees to market their home-based products to a wide range of consumers and to carry out electronic marketing campaigns for others to generate income. The course will last three days, starting on the twenty-ninth of the current month.
