52,000 marriages took place in Jordan during 2021

AMMAN — According to numbers released by the Civil Status and Passports Department for 2021, 17 couples from the Netherlands were married in Jordan, in addition to 18 Canadians, local media outlets reported.اضافة اعلان

In 2021, 24 British citizens were in Jordan at 0.05 percent of the country's total marriages over the past year.

Also during 2021, there were 25 marriages for Swedish citizens in Jordan, 33 Turkish marriages and 49 German marriages.

American marriages were the highest in Jordan for foreigners (non-Arabs), with 163 married couples, while the number of married Pakistani nationals was 24.

Palestinian nationality, in terms of marriages in Jordan, was the highest among Arab nationalities, with 957 married couples, followed by 334 Syrian nationals.

The total number of marriages in Jordan in 2021 was 52,045, spread between Jordanians and other nationalities, and 95.13 percent for Jordanians.
