The Board of Trustees of the Jordanian Academy for Government Management held its second meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan.

During the meeting, the Board approved the strategic framework for the Academy's operations, as well as its organizational structure, which consists of specialized units tailored to the nature of the institution's mandates. This aims to achieve a qualitative leap in preparing and qualifying government personnel across various levels through specialized, high-quality training programs focused on boosting efficiency and productivity to serve citizens and improve service quality.
The Board also approved the Executive Plan for the remainder of 2026 and for the year 2027. The plan includes launching innovative programs and activities in fields such as government management, digital transformation, the utilization of modern technologies and data management in public institution operations, capacity building for public sector employees, and grooming government leaders in line with international best practices, in partnership and cooperation with international institutions of expertise and competence in these domains.
Concurrently, the Board emphasized the importance of reviewing and evaluating previous training programs offered by the Institute of Public Administration, retaining appropriate ones, and continuing to conduct them over the coming months.
The meeting also concluded with the formation of permanent committees branching from the Board of Trustees, namely: the Learning and Future Readiness Committee, the Partnerships and Institutional Sustainability Committee, and the Governance, Audit, and Risk Management Committee.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani; the Minister of State for Public Sector Development and Vice Chairperson of the Academy's Board of Trustees, Badriya Al-Belbisi; and the President of the Academy, Mustafa Hamarneh.
