AMMAN — Minister of Health Firas Al-Hawari has announced that the number of foreign workers in Jordan who were infected with Hepatitis C was approximately 10,425 cases last year, according to a local media outlet. These figures bring the total number of viral hepatitis infections to 12,772 in 2022. PCR tests approved Hawari explained that PCR tests have been approved and implemented in the Ministry of Health laboratories and university hospitals. Any foreign worker proven to be infected with HIV will be deported from the Kingdom.The aim of this, he said, is to ensure the safety of foreigners and prevent any harm to public health caused by the spread of the disease.
