Elizabeth Rider, a nutrition and culinary expert, pointed out that boiling broccoli is actually the worst way to cook it, as it results in soft, dull florets.اضافة اعلان

In a report published by Surrey Live, Rider explained that “boiling broccoli often produces mushy florets. The longer it stays in boiling water, the more nutrients it loses.”

She added that when broccoli is boiled, it loses its sugars, flavors, and nutrients—resulting in an unappetizing taste and texture, and diminished health benefits.

On the other hand, Rider explained that grilling broccoli makes a huge difference—it brings out its natural sweetness and gives it a crispy texture, making it more appealing.

She noted that grilled broccoli has a rich flavor, makes an excellent side dish, and can be served warm or cold in salads.

Grilling not only enhances the flavor of broccoli but also helps preserve essential vitamins, making it more nutritious and enjoyable to eat. It can be prepared in the oven or an air fryer, and a splash of lemon juice can elevate its taste.

Rider also mentioned that the natural sugars in the lemon juice help tenderize the broccoli and caramelize it, resulting in a better texture and enhanced flavor.
