The statement said the contract-signing ceremony was attended by EFA President Hany Abu Rida, Vice President Khaled El-Direndaly, Secretary-General Mostafa Azzam, as well as Hossam Hassan, national team director Ibrahim Hassan and administrative director Walid Badr.
The federation said the contract extension reflects the board’s commitment to maintaining stability within the national team’s technical staff and continuing work during the next phase in line with the team’s established objectives and plans.
Hossam Hassan took charge of Egypt in 2024 and led the Pharaohs to their first-ever World Cup victory before they were eliminated in the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup following a 3-2 defeat by Argentina.
