Football Federation international relations official Dina Salameh departed yesterday for the Japanese city of Nagoya, to begin a new assignment as a match commissioner for the football competition at the Asian Games, which kicks off next Monday with 15 participating national teams.

The Games' organizing committee selected Salameh to serve as match commissioner for one of the groups in the men's football competition, a role she'll carry through to the knockout stages of the tournament, while she'll also serve in the knockout rounds of the women's competition.
Last year, Salameh was present at the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup, held in China, where she attended in a match commissioner capacity, having previously earned her AFC match commissioner certification. She is the third Jordanian woman to hold this qualification, after Abeer Al-Rantisi and Nisreen Al-Khazaaleh.
This marks Salameh's third assignment abroad, having also served last year as a match commissioner for matches in the Women's Asian Cup qualifiers group held in Tajikistan, alongside her ongoing work in the football federation's women's department.
Dina holds a master's degree in Sports Business Management from Seoul National University in South Korea, bringing technical and administrative expertise in football, gained also through her experience with national teams and coaches. She began her sporting career as a player with Al-Orthodoxi Club, and took part in the first-ever women's professional league in 2019.
