Barcelona began their Champions League campaign this season with a valuable, deserved 5-1 win over visitors Feyenoord Rotterdam on Wednesday, in the opening round of the continental competition's league phase.

At Spotify Camp Nou, Barcelona took an early lead through Brazilian star Raphinha in the 3rd minute, before teammate Kareem Adeyemi added the hosts' second goal in the 22nd minute, scoring his first goal for the Catalan side since joining this summer.
Raphinha continued to shine, netting Barcelona's third goal in the 57th minute for his second of the match, while young star Lamine Yamal added the fourth goal in the 77th minute.
Substitute Sem Steijn scored Feyenoord's lone goal in the 82nd minute, while Brazil's Gabriel Jesus added Barcelona's fifth goal in the 85th minute, just two minutes after coming on as a substitute.
With the win, Barcelona, five-time winners of the competition, most recently in 2015, picked up their first three points of the league phase, while Feyenoord, champions in 1970, remain pointless.
Barcelona will travel to face Turkey's Galatasaray in the next round, while Feyenoord host Italy's Como.
