Automotive technology is rapidly developing its short-range wireless-based vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure systems. This development will soon allow cars to communicate with each other and with smart road infrastructures such as stoplights and traffic signals wirelessly.اضافة اعلان

The primary objective behind vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure systems (collectively referred to as vehicle-to-everything) is to prevent accidents and save lives through wireless communication and Artificial Intelligence to control vehicles at risk.

This is a technological boom in the automotive sector globally, and most automotive manufacturers are working to catch up with the latest technology.

The previous development of vehicle-to-vehicle systems allowed for communications between cars, while this development of the vehicle-to-infrastructure system will allow for vehicles to communicate with the surrounding infrastructure as well. With this new advancement of vehicle-to-everything, it's anticipated that the future of automotive vehicles and infrastructure will align to allow for interactive communication across the board of the automotive realm, from cars to street signs.

The main goal of introducing a vehicle-to-everything program is to increase safety. The vehicle-to-everything technology allows vehicles to communicate with each other first, with road users second, and finally communicating with all components of the road infrastructure. This wide range of communication enhances public safety and provides informed and secure transportation.

The way vehicle-to-everything technology works is through a reliable cross-line-of-sight sensor which is efficient across all environments and weather conditions. Due to the durability of the sensors, the technology would be effective in preventing collisions and navigating dangerous situations.

Vehicle-to-everything systems, when activated, can function in two ways. The first is to notify the vehicle's driver in the form of alerts and notifications of harsh road conditions, and the second is to operate the vehicle in dangerous situations. In autonomous vehicles, the technology works with existing sensors, allowing the car to make more informed decisions and facilitating its interaction with road users.

Who is working on vehicle-to-everything technology?

Hyundai Motor Company, among other companies, announced a strategic partnership with Autotalks, a leading technology company specializing in manufacturing vehicle-to-everything in-vehicle connectivity chips, with a direct investment aimed at accelerating the development and use of next-generation technologically linked vehicle chips.

Hyundai is currently working on expanding its connectivity partnerships. This expansion is in an effort to enhance the connectivity technology needed to continue the development of autonomous driving and explore the business opportunities in smart city infrastructure.

Hyundai's pursuit of the latest and most advanced communication and safety technologies appears to be in line with the capabilities of the vehicle-to-everything technology developed by AutoTalks and their own current and strategic pillars of continuing to invest in revolutionary technology.
