The number of registered companies rose last year by 49% compared with 2019, and by 19% compared with 2024.
According to statistical data from the Companies Control Department, the total registered capital during the past year exceeded JOD 453 million. The number of companies registered last year reached 7,604, compared with 6,408 companies in 2024 and 5,088 companies in 2019.

Limited liability companies ranked first in terms of the number of registrations, totaling 5,586 companies. They accounted for 73.5% of the total registered capital, with a value exceeding JOD 167 million.
The number of companies whose registration was dissolved or struck off declined by 27% compared with 2024, amounting to 1,334 companies, down from 1,821. This also represents a 76% decrease compared with 2019, when the number stood at 5,557 companies.
The net increase in capital rose by 186% compared with 2024, as 1,518 companies increased their capital by a value exceeding approximately JOD 1.2 billion, while 224 companies reduced their capital by about JOD 205 million.
The net value of new capital increased by 875% compared with 2019 and by 190% compared with 2024, reaching a value of more than JOD 1.282 billion.
