Amman, Jordan – The Jordan FinTech Academy, under the Institute of Banking Studies, has released the results of a market assessment and new training strategy study, along with a stakeholder engagement plan, conducted by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management with technical support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in collaboration with the Central Bank of Jordan.اضافة اعلان

The study aims to support the development of specialized education and training in financial technology (FinTech) and to strengthen the readiness of Jordan’s financial sector for digital transformation and financial inclusion, aligned with international best practices.

Key findings highlighted growing demand for FinTech skills in Jordan, driven by regulatory developments and the expansion of digital financial services.

The study’s outcomes will serve as a reference for the Academy in designing its training plan for 2026–2028, ensuring alignment of programs with the actual needs and future directions of the financial sector.

The proposed comprehensive training strategy focuses on specialized programs for financial sector employees, senior management, and entrepreneurs, covering critical areas such as:

Digital payments

Artificial intelligence in financial services

Technology governance

Compliance and regulation

Cybersecurity

Digital assets

The study also emphasized the Academy’s central role as a national platform to foster collaboration among regulators, financial institutions, FinTech companies, universities, and international partners, supporting knowledge transfer, innovation, financial inclusion, and building a sustainable ecosystem.

Dr. Riyad Al-Hindawi, Director General of the Institute of Banking Studies, stated that the study serves as a strategic reference for developing the Academy’s training programs, and highlighted the Institute’s commitment to building national capacities in FinTech and digital transformation, enhancing the competitiveness of Jordan’s financial sector and supporting economic modernization.

Gretchen Berry, Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean at EBRD, noted that developing FinTech skills is crucial for fostering innovation and economic modernization in Jordan. She added that the collaboration with the Academy, the Institute, and the Central Bank will contribute to creating specialized training programs that meet market needs and prepare national talent to keep pace with rapid digital transformation.
