The Ministry stated that the Market Monitoring Directorate handled 399 complaints submitted by citizens through market inspectors deployed across all regions of the Kingdom. Necessary measures were taken to address these grievances, reflecting the Ministry's rapid response and effective oversight.

Inspection Tours and Monitoring
According to the Ministry, inspection teams conducted 1,353 field tours, involving 21,891 visits to commercial establishments nationwide to ensure adherence to standing regulations.

The Market Monitoring Directorate continues to enforce the provisions of the Industry and Trade Law No. 18 of 1998, which includes:

Monitoring the availability and pricing of essential food commodities.

Verifying price declarations and compliance.

Tracking inventory levels held by wholesalers.

Cracking down on practices such as hoarding (hiding goods) or refusing to sell.

Monitoring sales, liquidations, and promotional offers.
