Allan predicted that the winter season would continue until the upcoming Ramadan, explaining that demand in December 2025 was higher than in October and November due to changing weather conditions, including rain and colder temperatures.
He added that local prices remain competitive with online shopping platforms.
Regarding the sources of winter goods, Allan said China ranks first with about 42%, followed by Turkey at 24%, alongside some Arab, Asian, and other foreign countries.
He noted that annual imports of clothing reach around 250 million Jordanian dinars, mostly winter apparel, while footwear imports total 70 million dinars.
The clothing and footwear sector across Jordan includes more than 11,000 traders and employs approximately 60,000 workers, most of whom are Jordanians.
