The ASE stated that companies must provide these statements before the end of July of this year to avoid penalties under the guiding directory for violations and penalties.
The ASE previously noted that it suspends trading on the shares of non-compliant companies that fail to provide their financial statements, pursuant to Article 15 of the 2018 Securities Listing Instructions. This measure aims to protect traders and investors in the securities market by providing them with necessary information on time to help them make informed investment decisions.
Providing financial statements complies with the ASE listing regulations, which require all listed companies to prepare interim financial reports reviewed by external auditors. This reinforces the principles of disclosure and transparency, enabling investors and shareholders to stay informed about corporate performances continuously and on time.
The Executive Chairman of the Jordan Securities Commission (JSC), Emad Abu Haltum, previously stated that the market capitalization of the Amman Stock Exchange reached approximately 30 billion JD as of last Sunday, May 24, up from 18 billion JD in 2024
