Total trading value on the Amman Stock Exchange reached JD73.2 million last week, compared with JD63.3 million the previous week. The daily average trading value rose by 15.6%, reaching JD14.6 million, compared with JD12.7 million the previous week.

According to the exchange’s weekly report, around 24.4 million shares were traded during the week through 25,931 transactions.
The financial sector led trading activity with JD26.78 million, accounting for 36.60% of total trading, followed by the industrial sector with JD25.44 million, or 34.76%, and the services sector with JD20.96 million, or 28.64%.
The general index of share prices fell to 4,117.3 points at the close of the week, down 0.53%. The financial sector index rose by 0.08%, while the industrial sector index declined by 1.84% and the services sector index fell by 0.84%.
Stock exchange data showed that shares of 126 companies were traded during the week. Share prices rose for 38 companies, while 65 companies recorded declines and 23 remained unchanged.
