In his address, Al-Jaghbir highlighted the significant role played by the Jordan Armed Forces in defending and protecting the nation’s borders, expressing pride in being one of the retirees of the Arab Army. He noted that the experience he gained during his military service had positively influenced his work in the industrial sector.

He added that Jordanian industry is one of the key sectors supporting the national economy and has witnessed substantial development over recent decades thanks to the support and patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and before him the late King Hussein, may he rest in peace. He pointed out that the industrial sector contributes 25% of Jordan’s total economy and employs more than 250,000 men and women, representing 22% of the total workforce across all economic sectors.

The celebration, moderated by retired Colonel Hussein Al-Maharma, also featured a speech by former senator Ghazi Al-Tayeb, who briefly reviewed the historical journey of Jordan and the Hashemites amid major political challenges and global ambitions. He said: “Today, we recall the fragrance of the past and the achievements of the present, while our eyes and hopes look toward a prosperous future thanks to our wise Hashemite leadership and the loyal Jordanians.”

The event also included a discussion on the importance of Jordanian industry and the challenges facing the enhancement of its competitiveness.
