The Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, Dr. Hossam Abu Ali, called on all taxpayers to promptly submit their income tax returns for income earned during the 2025 fiscal year electronically, and to pay the declared amounts through electronic payment methods as soon as possible.اضافة اعلان

He stressed the importance of completing tax returns with accurate figures and information that truly reflect actual income, noting that submissions are accepted exclusively through the Department’s official website:

Abu Ali explained that any natural person—whether an employee, worker, or otherwise—is required to file a tax return if their total annual gross income from all sources exceeds 9,000 dinars for non-dependents and 18,000 dinars for dependents. He pointed out that monthly tax deductions by an employer do not exempt individuals from filing a return if their income exceeds the exemption threshold.

In a related context, Abu Ali urged company owners and managers, as well as professionals and craftsmen, to comply with the national electronic invoicing system and to issue invoices properly through the system or via electronic integration with it.

The Department confirmed that taxpayers may contact the Taxpayer Services Center by phone, WhatsApp, or through social media platforms to receive support, have inquiries answered, and follow up on their transactions electronically.
