Iran to Form Interim Leadership Council Following Khamenei’s Death

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, confirmed on Sunday that an interim leadership council will be established today.اضافة اعلان

In a televised interview, Larijani warned against any attempts to create divisions within Iran following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in what was described as a U.S.-Israeli strike. He added that the United States and Israel aim to plunder and destabilize Iran.

Earlier on Sunday, Iranian state television announced the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei. U.S. President Donald Trump also confirmed the killing of Khamenei in the same military operation carried out by Israel and the United States.
