According to data from the Jordanian Company for Payment and Clearing Systems (JoPACC), the total number of checks circulated in Jordan last year reached 6.29 million, with a total value of JOD 40.96 billion.

Regarding bounced checks, their value rose to JOD 98 million in December 2025, compared to JOD 88 million in November, representing 2.54% of the total value of checks circulated over the past three months.
The total number of bounced checks in December reached 17,700, with 65.5% returned for financial reasons, totaling JOD 64 million, while the remaining 34.5% were due to technical reasons, amounting to JOD 33.8 million.
Meanwhile, checks circulated in December increased by 1.5%, totaling approximately 570,000 checks with a combined value of JOD 3.85 billion, compared to 562,000 checks worth JOD 3.3 billion in November.
JoPACC statistics also showed a 16.8% increase in the total value of checks circulated in December compared to the previous month.
