Speaking at a press conference, Zelensky said, “We also discussed the issue of long-range missiles, and I do not want to make any statement on this matter. We decided not to talk about it because (...) the United States does not want escalation.”

Trump had noted that there are concerns about U.S. military readiness when discussing sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, explaining that continued support might affect America’s defensive capabilities.

When asked what the U.S. would do if faced with a conflict and in need of those missiles, Trump replied, “That’s a problem… We need Tomahawk missiles, and we need a lot of other equipment that we have sent to Ukraine over the past four years. We have given them a lot.”
