Speaking to reporters at the White House in response to a question about a possible meeting with Kim, Trump said, “I would like that; he knows we are heading there,” adding that he “agrees” with the North Korean leader he last met in 2019.
Trump’s tour, which includes visits to Japan and Malaysia, will involve key talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea aimed at reaching a trade agreement with Beijing.
