UNRWA Warns of Catastrophic Consequences of Ongoing Gaza Blockade
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued a stark warning on Sunday regarding the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the Gaza Strip due to Israel’s continued blockade, now entering its ninth consecutive week.اضافة اعلان

According to a statement published on the agency’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, UNRWA stressed that it has thousands of trucks ready to deliver aid and its teams inside Gaza are prepared to expand operations. However, Israel has blocked all humanitarian, medical, and commercial supplies from entering the territory for over two months.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) echoed this concern, stating in a separate post that “Palestinians are dying in Gaza, which has been under a complete Israeli blockade for the third consecutive month,” describing the situation as part of a prolonged campaign of destruction lasting more than 18 months.

OCHA revealed that approximately 70% of Gaza's population is either residing in areas occupied by Israeli forces, under forced evacuation orders, or both. The office emphasized that the United Nations and its partners are prepared to scale up aid delivery immediately—should the blockade, which began on March 2, be lifted.

OCHA described the situation bluntly: “Palestinians are dying amid a total Israeli siege for the third month in a row.”
